University of Pittsburgh

Achievements

The Alpha Delta Pi experience is one that enriches the lives of its members through friendships, opportunities for personal growth, happy memories, commitment to high ideals, development of good decision-making skills, and a sense of pride in being a sorority woman. We encourage our members to get involved on campus and seek leadership roles in special interest and honor societies.

At the University of Pittsburgh, being a member of Alpha Delta Pi means more than just joining a sorority—it’s becoming part of a genuine sisterhood that celebrates ambition, friendship, growth, and purpose. From the moment you step on campus, you’ll find a home in our chapter that supports you through all of life’s highs and lows, encourages strong values, and builds lasting memories.

At Pitt, academics always come first. We’re proud to uphold a strong culture of scholarship, where every sister is supported in reaching her highest academic potential. Our Director of Academic Affairs, Vice President of Member Development and Wellness Specialist collaborate to create an uplifting academic environment, whether that’s through scheduling study hours in the library, peer tutoring, or custom academic plans. With encouragement, accountability, and incentives to succeed, our sisters find a balance that allows them to thrive in both their studies and their student life. From first-year transition support to preparing for grad school and internships, we’re all about celebrating each other’s wins—big or small.

Beyond the classroom, Pitt ADPi is made up of well-rounded, passionate women who are deeply involved across campus and throughout the Pittsburgh community. Whether it’s holding leadership positions in student government, volunteering with local organizations, joining professional fraternities, or representing Pitt in athletics and honor societies, our sisters are dedicated to making a difference. Our Leadership Engagement Specialist plays a vital role in empowering members to find their unique voice and lead with purpose through workshops, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

Our chapter has been honored with numerous accolades for academic excellence, philanthropy, and leadership—both here at Pitt and on the national Alpha Delta Pi stage. But more importantly, we measure our success by the support we show one another and the pride we take in every sister’s journey. “We Live for Each Other” isn’t just our motto—it’s the heartbeat of everything we do. The bond we share as Pitt Panthers and Alpha Delta Pi women makes our chapter a place where goals are achieved, voices are heard, and memories are made to last a lifetime.

In addition, our very own alumni, Allison Ball now works at Alpha Delta Pi’s Executive Office. Here is what she has to say about her position:

“As the Chapter Support Coordinator for the Central District, my job is to support chapters in the states of VA, TN, KY, MO, & NC with regular virtual visits, chapter officer support, and goal setting. I serve as the “boots on the ground” for the Central District Team, assisting the District Team Director (Megan Carter) and the Collegiate Services Specialist (Ansley Long) in gathering data, interacting with chapter members, and building relationships between chapters and Executive Office in order to contribute to the team’s strategic plans. I’m able to meet virtually with chapter officers in order to help them identify goals, build action plans, and facilitate communication between chapter officers, International Officers, and Executive Office staff. While I am stationed in Atlanta, GA at EO, I’ll have the possibility of travel to our more at-risk chapters that need a little bit of love and care. I also complete administrative tasks, including Pi Portal management, assisting with Alpha Supply orders, and locating resources by request. All in all, my job is to serve as the chapter members’ advocate, cheerleader, and point of contact in order to help them improve chapter functions in the program areas that need assistance.”
